Can stress really play a role in heart disease? Emotions come from your brain, not your heart. Yet, overall, negative emotions account for 30% of all heart attacks. That’s greater than diabetes, obesity, poor diet, and no exercise. Only high cholesterol and smoking account for more heart attacks. So, emotions are not just about the head, but the heart as well.
